Burkina Faso
Update
November 2008
Greetings to all!
We have returned safely from our ministry trip
to Burkina Faso . Thank you
so much for all the prayers; the Lord was faithful to
bring us home safely, and to use the time there to touch
many people. Thanks too for all who supported us in this
trip. We were able to bless many people because of
you.
We were able to build 8 new churches this trip –
bringing our total in the country to 405. It is hard for
us to really understand how important this is to the
believers in Burkina – they have places to meet out of
the heat and difficult conditions of the
country.
A main focus of the trip was the pastor’s
school. Brett Meador, Bryan Fowler, and Jon
Severson taught at the Wendpanga Expository School for
pastors. One hundred and twenty pastors attended the
two-week session.
The pastors at the school were especially
excited to each receive a new study Bible in their own
language. They will use this tool for years to
come.
Brett’s son, Joey Meador, was with us for the
trip, which was a wonderful testimony. On Brett’s
first trip to Africa ,
15 years ago, Joey had just been born and was having
medical issues with his heart. Many pastors remember
praying for Joey those many years ago… what a fantastic
blessing, 15 years later, to see Joey in Africa
!
Thank you too for your prayers for me in my
health situation. Though moving was difficult, I was able
to navigate the airports and be active in Ouagadougou .
I know that is because of your prayers – thank
you.
I am hoping to return to Burkina Faso in
February, for another session of the Pastors’
School, and to do more roofs. We are grateful to the Lord
that the rains seem to be coming in, but there remains
much to do. Thank you so much for your partnership in
this ministry.
We continue to be grateful for your prayers and
support. You can send any donations to support the
